Desmond was taken from a 1915 French document and the fabric is reproduced in its original scale. The pattern depicts large peacocks intertwined in foliage, which was a popular motif during the art nouveau period. The coordinating wallpaper is a slightly smaller scale to fit the machines at the mill.

Marbling is an art that is created by putting pigment into oil and then taking a tool to swirl it around. Paper is then placed on top and lifted up. What transfers to the paper is a repetition of unique shapes of blended colors.
