This chair-scale woven has the irregularity and interest of a hand block print. Our designers chose specific techniques to enhance this simple geometric. Soft chenille breaks through the graphic, blurring the edges to create a third tone.

This fabric reflects the unique process of our textile studio. The artwork began as a crisp graphic which would ordinarily lend itself to a flat print. Our designers used gouache to add additional interest. Finally, the design is translated to pixels, each of which represent one point of interlacing of warp and weft yarns. The design is delicate when translated as white leaves, yet bold and graphic when rendered as dark leaves.
Inspired by a lithographic print discovered while exploring the mill's archives, this bold chevron exudes energy. The dynamic graphic commands interest from afar, yet a closer look reveals a rewarding tactile experience. The chenille chevron is punctuated with strategically placed bouclé to create dimensional surface interest.
The organic nature of an animal-inspired pattern is a sought-after companion in any room. By changing the value of the figure and ground, our designers played with color to evoke either a classic leopard or a jeweled geode. Chenille is used to create a high/low surface while the centers are crafted with four different hues to create a water-colored effect.
Bold and playful, this multi-colored feature explores themes of transparency and movement. Geometric forms float behind a open structure. The feathered edges are carefully placed to achieve the ikat effect of our inspiration, a hand print on raw silk. The contrast of warm clay against delicate blush or cool tones against a warm ground, color is used to enhance the interplay between layers.
Inspired by a misty shoreline at dawn, this understated design evokes a sense of calm. Each strand of fine yarn and soft chenille was hand placed by our designers to achieve this ethereal horizontal stripe. The repeat is intentionally designed to be larger than the average cushion depth to contribute to its sense of mystery. Coastal, desert or urban, just a hint of color is used to imply an expansive landscape.
