The Rue de Seine Collection by Anna French

Dec 2013

A lavish fabric compilation by Anna French, the Rue de Seine Collection breathes fresh air of

crisp colours and delicate patterns. The fine details of floral and geometric patterns are highlighted by a wide

array of textiles and luscious design.

The beautiful trumpet-like blossoms of foxglove in Twiggy Floral Embroidery are tossed in an open bouquet

layout. Light and delicate, the pink and purple botanicals are dramatically realistic in this embroidery.

Ultra-soft Laurence Plaid is menswear gone chic. The small-scale windowpane plaid has a herringbone weave

and comes in colour pairings like flax and plum, blue and gold, and apple green and raspberry.

Sheer Dot Embroidery is simply divine and dainty. The small, open-spaced dot is embroidered on textured

sheers of light linen and white.

The signature pattern of the collection, Rue de Seine Embroidery is a silk taffeta inspired by the wallpaper

from the Zola collection. Large-scale flowers and leaves are block printed and simplified in graphic form. The

embroidered accent gives this crisp fabric an opulent look.

Architecutral in nature, Deilen Embroidery is a coordinating fabric from the Zola collection. The chevron-like

detail of the elongated shapes is elegantly embroidered in cream, gold, and slate on natural and bleached

linens.

Zippidy Embroidery gets its name from the zig-zag embroidery that zips up the roll in this design. Vibrant

colourways include bright citron green, fuschia, forest green and raspberry on white and natural linen, charcoal,

silver, navy and gold on sage blue linen, and light neutrals like gold, silver, and cream on white linen.

The overlapping cotton corded appliqué of Theresa Trellis makes this linen fabric truly unique. The rounded

ogee trellis shape looks crisp and stately.

Lavish Zenith Velvet is a large-scale herringbone cut velvet. The nine colourways include cream, toast,

charcoal, citron green, mineral blue, cranberry red, aqua, light grey, and plum.

Ethnic in shape and regal in size, French Suzani is a large-scale woven jacquard with shimmering silk on

grounds of duck egg, gold, grey, and raspberry.
